Orkney, an archipelago of seventy islands
just seven miles off the north coast of Scotland, will seduce you
with its ever-changing seascapes, fresh, clean air and intriguing
stories of times past.
Probably best known for its astonishing array of well preserved
Neolithic sites and standing stones, Orkney will rejuvenate you
with its wonderful environment, fascinating wildlife, great walks,
craft workshops, excellent museums and its unhurried pace of life.
We suggest at least 3 or 4 nights to discover the many wonders,
including day trips to some of the smaller isles such as Hoy, Westray
or Rousay - 'the Egypt of the North' (tours available). Orkney is
a compact island so you can spend your holiday in one place.
