6 nights holiday in the Island of Harris

This holiday includes your return ferry travel with your own car between Uig (Isle of Skye) and Tarbert (Isle of Harris) (Travel Option A).

Travel Option A.
Cross over to the dramatic Isle of Skye by the bridge at Kyle of Lochalsh and drive to Uig in the north of the island for the ferry to Tarbert in Harris. There are one or two ferries each day Monday-Saturday, which take 1 hour, 40 minutes (sailings from Uig at 14.00 on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, and at 09.40 and 18.00 on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays). Return by the same route.

You can also 'sail over the sea' to Skye by taking the ferry from Mallaig to Armadale (26 minutes) in the south of the island (not included in the holiday featured but can be added on request at an extra cost). Accommodation can also be booked in Skye for you if you wish, at additional cost.

You can also sail between Ullapool and Stornoway (Isle of Lewis) (Travel Option B) or combine the ferry routings (Uig to Tarbert followed by Stornoway to Ullapool, or vice-versa) (Travel Option C).

Travel Option B.
Isle of Harris From the small village of Ullapool on the north-west Scottish mainland, there are two Caledonian MacBrayne ferries which sail each day Monday-Saturday across The Minch to Stornoway in the Isle of Lewis, taking 2 hours, 40 minutes. You then drive to Harris, allowing approximately 1 hour, 30 minutes from Stornoway to Tarbert (or you could stay overnight in Lewis first). Return by the same route.

Travel Option C.
You can combine the ferry routings, by sailing from Uig (Isle of Skye) to Tarbert (Isle of Harris) and then leave the islands by taking the ferry from Stornoway (Isle of Lewis) to Ullapool (or vice-versa).

Prices are based on 2 adults sharing own car and a twin or double bedded room and include ferries as detailed.

Rooms with en-suite or private facilities will be reserved for you (may be subject to availability at time of booking).

Your Isle of Harris Holiday staying at The Harris Hotel in Tarbert includes return ferry crossings with your own car between Uig (Isle of Skye) and Tarbert (Isle of Harris) (Travel Option A).

Prices are based on 2 adults sharing own car and a twin or double bedded en-suite room at The Harris Hotel.

Supplements apply for alternative ferry crossings (includes your car):
Travel Option B (return ferry crossings between Ullapool and Stornoway)

Travel Option C (ferry crossings from Uig to Tarbert followed by Stornoway to Ullapool, or vice-versa)

You can start your 6 nights holiday any day Tuesday - Saturday from the first ferry port. If you start on a Monday, you would stay for 5 or 7 nights (leaving on a Saturday or the following Monday) as there are no Sunday sailings to or from Harris or Lewis.

It is possible to mix both Bed & Breakfast and Evening Meal, Bed & Breakfast if you wish, e.g. 3 nights of each. Hotel accommodation is also available. Different prices may apply for some B&Bs or guest houses which may be booked to suit your requirements or due to availability, but this will be discussed with you before confirming your holiday.

There are also ferry crossings from Harris to North Uist with an onward ferry connection to Skye, and from South Uist to Barra and Oban (South Uist is connected by causeways to North Uist and Benbecula).

Frequency of ferries changes between mid October and end March.
