Situated on the beautiful north west coast of North Uist, Tigh na Boireach and Boreray are two traditional thatched cottages rebuilt to an original design but incorporating all modern conveniences and comforts. Very romantic!

The centre feature of the bedroom in each cottage is a hand carved four poster bed. Comfortable sitting room with restored Victorian fireplace with gas flame effect fire, TV, video & hi-fi. Fitted kitchen includes fridge, electric cooker, washer dryer, dishwasher and microwave. Cottages are heated by gas fire and storage heaters.

Hill & beach walking, birdwatching and day trips to other islands.

Two beautiful properties of a very high standard, they are within very easy reach of miles of sandy beaches (a short walking distance). There is a general shop, Post Office, Bank of Scotland, local hospital and hotel at Lochmaddy and a Co-Op shop at Sollas.

All bed linen and towels are supplied.
Electricity is included.
No smoking properties.
We regret that pets are not permitted due to the presence of livestock.

Prices are per cottage, per week.
Boreray has been renovated and refurbished more recently than Tigh na Boireach, hence the reason for the higher price.

Short breaks may be available at short notice or at certain times of the year.

Ferries, operated by Caledonian MacBrayne, can be booked by Scotsell for you. There are ferries from Uig in Skye to Lochmaddy in North Uist (takes 1 hour 45 minutes), from Leverburgh in Harris to Berneray in North Uist (1 hour) and from Oban to Lochboisdale in South Uist.
