92 Macdonald Highland Lodges
Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort, AVIEMORE

Exterior of Macdonald Lodge nestling between trees

STB: ****

Sleep: 6 each
(3 bedrooms)

Log/Coal/Peat open fire in property    No Smoking KEY

Macdonald Highland Lodges are situated in the ancient Caledonian pine forest within the newly re-developed Aviemore Highland Resort site, beside the village of Aviemore, itself at the foot of the Cairngorm Mountains in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, the setting for the TV series Monarch of the Glen.

The forest is protected by a conservation order and so the placing of the lodges themselves, 18 in total, has been determined by the location of the pine trees.

These deluxe wooden lodges, nestling in a delightful woodland setting, are imaginatively designed woodland cottages, a real home from home.

Rustic in appearance but equipped and designed with luxury and service in mind, they feature their own spacious, open plan lounge and dining room, and a kitchenette with 2 ring hob, microwave and fridge.

There are three bedrooms, all en-suite. Two bedrooms are downstairs - a master king-size twin or double with en-suite bathroom and a twin with en-suite walk-in shower. Upstairs is a double with en-suite walk-in shower and the balcony.

You can sit on the decking sipping drinks and enjoy the highland wilderness in the tranquil forest setting.

There is a TV system allowing you to book movies, a play-station and a selection of board games. Internet access.

The lodges are 5 minutes walk to the facilities of the main resort (45 acres). There are four hotels within the resort offering you the opportunity to eat on site with a wide choice of restaurants and bars, visit the beauty spa, enjoy a head massage or manicure.

Guest have access to all the superb facilities of the Highland Leisure complex, including 25m swimming pool, flume & wave machine, Technogym, sauna, steam room, childrens’ adventure playground and luxury shopping store.

The resort offers boundless opportunities to experience numerous outdoor activities all year round (see below).
