Set in the heart of Perthshire, Liarn Farm Cottages enjoy an enviable
setting close to the shores of Loch Rannoch boasting panoramic
views southward over the loch.
The converted stone built cottages have been renovated with great
care and are set within a traditional courtyard setting. The cottages
are all fully equipped and offer spacious and comfortable accommodation,
each with a balcony with panoramic views over Loch Rannoch.
The Estate covers an area of some 243 acres including a private
lochan, woodlands with an open area of moor and wetland. Liarn
has 1.5 miles of loch frontage.
There are six holiday cottages in the courtyard of farm buildings
- two sleep 4 each and four sleep 5 each.
All the cottages are double glazed, have full electric central
heating and ample wardrobe and drawer facilities in the bedrooms,
which are on the ground floor. All beds have duvets and bed linen
is provided. Each has a tiled bathroom on the ground floor with w.c., wash hand basin,
bath with electric shower over and an electric shaver point. Towels
and tea towels are available for hire (see below) or you can bring
your own.
On the upper floor, the large main living area runs the full length
of each cottage and is of an open plan design. The traditional
coombed ceiling retains the homely character while allowing ample
space. Each has a lounge area with a feature electric fire, colour TV and video. The patio
doors lead onto the balcony which faces either west or east with
panoramic views over Loch Rannoch. The fitted kitchen area is
well equipped with a full sized refrigerator and freezer, electric
hob and oven and a microwave oven and a dining area with table
and chairs.

Macdonald Cottage
A semi-detached cottage sleeping 6 people which was originally

views over Loch Rannoch and Schiehallion Mountain and has its
own private garden and picnic bench.
On the ground floor, there is the well equipped large fitted kitchen/dining
room with table and chairs, tiled bathroom and a family bedroom
with three single pine beds together with a dressing table, ample
wardrobe and drawer facilities.
On the upper floor, the spacious lounge runs the full width of
the cottage with a traditional coombed ceiling. It has two dormer
windows, which face east and west creating a light atmosphere.
There is a colour television, video and hi-fi system. The main bedroom also runs the width of
the cottage and again has two windows facing east and west. It
has one double bed and one single bed.
Really nice for children - there are hens, ducks and rabbits to feed each morning, and they can look in the hen house for fresh eggs.
