KEY
Built in 1895, the South Lodge is full of character two miles
from Ardminish village and is known as "little Achamore House"
because of design similarities to the majestic Achamore House,
home to a succession of Gigha Lairds.
A pleasant walk will take you to Achamore Gardens, 50 acres of
glorious colour amid an atmosphere of sweet fragrance.
South Lodge is located to the south of Gigha and close to the
South Pier where local fishing boats tie up for the night and
seals appear for a free meal!
South Lodge has a charming garden complete with cabbage palms
and a picnic area in the grounds to the rear of the house.
The four spacious bedrooms will comfortably sleep 8 with one double
bed and three twins making it an ideal base for a large family
or two families sharing.
The house is fully centrally heated and is equipped with an electric
cooker, microwave oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine
and tumble drier.
The comfortable drawing room boasts a cosy log fire.
The delightful small island of Gigha offers cycling, walking,
wildlife, charming bays of white sand, standing stones, golf and
fishing.
