Part of Badenoch & Strathspey and the majestic scenery of 'Glenbogle' from the BBC Monarch of the Glen. Fully equipped to a very high standard - you will be more than pleasantly suprised when you walk in the door!
On the ground floor, Calum's Cottage has a large open plan sitting room / dining room / kitchen with french doors opening on to the patio. There is also a double bedroom with shower & wc, cloakroom/wc and utility room. Multifuel stove.
Upstairs, there is one double bedroom, two twin bedrooms (one with en-suite bathroom) and a extra bathroom with wc.
There is oil-fired central heating throughout and ample hot water. Washing machine, dishwasher, microwave oven, gas hob and electric fan oven, fridge/freezer, television in the lounge and in most bedrooms, DVD, video and hifi. There is ample car parking.
Kingussie is easily accessed from the A9, the main road between Edinburgh and Inverness. Kingussie has a population of around 1,400 people and is overlooked by Creag Bheag, a 1,581 feet hill. For those who prefer more leisurely walks, a visit to Rothiemurchus Estate or the RSPB Reserve a few miles along the road at Insh Marshes comes highly recommended, or you can visit the watersports centres at Loch Insh and Loch Morlich.
There are many golf courses in the Badenoch and Strathspey area but Kingussie's 18-hole course boasts some of the best views of any course in the country, and being a short 5 minutes walk from Calum's Cottage, must come top of your list of places to visit whether you play or not.
