It is an ideal base for holiday activities including car touring, walking, deserted sandy beaches at Gruinard Bay, climbing, sea and loch fishing, bird-watching, photography, golf at Gairloch (12 miles) and Torridon National Mountain Reserve (25 miles).
There are boat trips to the Summer Isles north of Ullapool, you could visit the very interesting Achiltibuie Hydroponicum, enjoy porpoise & whale cruises and water sports.
